How to Exchange Bitcoin for NEO in Morpheus using Changelly Exchange?
  1. Go to Exchange in Morpheus Wallet

  2. The current NEO address presented in Morpheus will automatically be used to receive the NEO once the transaction is complete.

  3. Enter the amount in Bitcoin (BTC) you would like to exchange for NEO. You may enter up to 10 decimal places (0.0000000000)

  4. Please note the ‘Minimum Order’ amount. This is the minimum transaction allowed by Changelly including all network and transaction fees. Morpheus receives a small commission directly from Changelly for this server and never charges your account balance directly. Please always ensure you download Morpheus Wallet from the GitHub repo only.

  5. Click continue to automatically generate a new unique Bitcoin (BTC) address. This is the address that you will use to deposit Bitcoin(BTC) to in exchange for NEO.

  6. The transaction details, as well as the new Bitcoin (BTC) address, will be generated for you to start the transaction. Please either scan the Bitcoin (BTC) QR-Code or copy the address and make your deposit. Please make sure the address s correct before sending Bitcoin (BTC). Check again. Click Continue. 

  7. Only deposit Bitcoin (BTC) to this address. Depositing tokens/coins/funds other than Bitcoin (BTC) deposited to this address may be lost.

  8. The dialogue window within Morpheus will display the current transaction status. Once successful, the NEO will be deposited automatically to the address used in Morpheus at the time.

Below are the transaction status messages and their descriptions.

Status Description
‘Confirming’ Your Bitcoin (BTC) transaction is in the memory pool and awaits confirmation.
‘Exchanging’ Your payment was received and is being exchanged for NEO.
‘Sending’ Your NEO is being sent to the NEO address in Morpheus Wallet.
‘Finished’ NEO was successfully deposited to your NEO address in Morpheus Wallet.
‘Failed’ Transaction failed. In most cases, the amount was less than the minimum.
‘Refunded’ Exchange failed and Bitcoin (BTC) will be refunded by Changelly to user’s Bitcoin (BTC) sending address. 

Due to traffic on the Bitcoin (BTC) network, your transaction may take as long as 30 minutes or more.

Once you have sent payment to the Bitcoin (BTC) address generated for the transaction, you may continue to use Morpheus or quit. Your transaction will be processed on the blockchain. We do however suggest always monitoring your transaction for confirmations or warnings.

Please note each Bitcoin (BTC) address created is unique only be used once. Please DO NOT send Bitcoin (BTC) to this address in an attempt to store in or with Morpheus.

How do I send NEO or Gas?

All beta software is operating on the NEO Test Network.

  1. Click “Send” in the sidebar on the dashboard.
  2. Enter a valid NEO public address
  3. Enter the amount in NEO which should be automatically converted to USD.
  4. Click Send

You can switch between sending NEO or Gas by clicking the NEO button at the top right hand side of the send panel which will switch the input fields to purple to indicate you are about to send GAS.

When sending NEO or GAS to an exchange, please ensure you are sending to the correct address.

How do I claim my Gas?

Click the big purple gas button. You can only claim gas approximately every 5 minutes. The gas button will be disabled until the transaction on the blockchain is complete.

The gas gauge is disabled in the beta release of Morpheus and will be activated in a future beta update.

How do I create a new NEO address?
  1. Click the “Create a Neo Address” icon on any of the login screens.
  2. Enter a secure password
  3. Retype your password
  4. Click the purple arrow to continue
  5. Backup your password
  6. Name your saved wallet
    1. You can view your private data by clicking “View Private Data”. It is suggested you backup this information.
    2. Backup your private data and password
    3. Name your Saved Wallet
  7. Click the checkbox and ensure you have backed up your private data
  8. Click “Save and Continue”
  9. Select your wallet from the drop down list
  10. Enter your password and click the purple arrow to continue to the dashboard.
Can I login using my existing NEO encrypted private key and password?

Yes, you can login using an existing encrypted private key and password. We do however suggest creating a new address to test Morpheus for the first time unless you already have test NEO/GAS.

  7. Click “Generate Encrypted Key”
  8. Name your saved wallet

  9. Click the checkbox and ensure you have backed up your private data
  10. Click “Save and Continue”
How do I login via my recovery file?
  1. Click on “Login via Recovery File”
  2. Find and upload Json file
  3. Enter Password

How does Morpheus earn revenue if everything is free?

Morpheus software is free. Sending and receiving NEO and GAS are free when using Morpheus as there is no blockchain network fee.

Future releases of Morpheus will include other cryptocurrencies that will be subject to network fees as well plugins and exchange services that will have transaction fees. All transaction and network fees will always be clearly displayed on the send page.
